1st verse
You were the legendary heroes of the neighbourhood
You took care of the helpless like Robin Hood
If there was trouble, people always turned to you
Because everybody knew, you were the toughest crew
2nd verse
You were game as hell, you ruled the streets
And on the terraces you could not be beaten
Even outnumbered you always stood your ground
And the neighbourhood was safe while you were around
Chorus (2x)
You were, you were the Guv’nors
Always ready to ruck
You were, you were the Guv’nors
You never gave a fuck
3rd verse
You have settled down but you’re still around
In the local pub you can be found
(Even) from your seats you have an ear on the street
And you will be there when the people are in need
Chorus (2x)
You are, you are the Guv’nors
Always ready to ruck
You are, you are the Guv’nors
You still don’t give a fuck
4th verse
You are the legendary heroes of the neighbourhood
You take care of the helpless like Robin Hood
If there is trouble, people still turn to you
Because everybody knows you’re still the toughest crew
Chorus (2x)
You are, you are the Guv’nors
Always ready to ruck
You are, you are the Guv’nors
You still don’t give a fuck
I'm not sure what they put in the water in the state of PA.,but whatever it is produces tough as nails Oi. Boot Rally has that great gruff American Oi sound that I love. Its a soundtrack for a 40 hour week-- or for breaking a bottle over some mouthy prick's head. East Bay Working Class
